Another awesome Forecast. Do you mind if I copy and paste it to the forum here?

Then I won't get click through on my ads! Oh wait, I don't have any ads. Whatever floats your boat. If I end up doing any write-ups it will be on the website, though, since that allows better control over the layout and the inclusion of images. In other words, if you plan on having everything contained on the forum, I'm not sure how well that will work.

The forum is a tool. Your website works well (although I usually have a bit of trouble getting it to load, well not trouble - it just takes a long time) and please, by all means, continue to use it. I was just thinking that if I reposted it here then (A few bumps down) then more people might see it (as opposed to not clicking your link).
It's all good. It's better to have too much exposure than not enough!

Yeah, Rick can never get there either. I think this is where I say, "That's funny, it works for me." Like I said, I don't care either way. Although I would rather not have anyone "lick my link"...whatever that means.

Pickett couldn't find the link until I told him where it was... but I think that was an "iD 10 t" error...

(reposting here for those of you too lazy to click the link - although you really should. I love his site)With one game in the books, we will soon find out what excitement three more teams have in store. Who will prosper and who will be glad just to survive? ********************************************* Game 1B PlayersJSA Legion of Superheroes New MutantsThe JSA are an interesting mix this season. You have the seeming powerhouse in Shazam! and the intriguing Stargirl. Of course, in HeroClix proper Hypersonic Speed is quite nice but it has never really gelled for Shazam! because of the lack of range and the inevitable activation click. However, in Infinity Quest those two limitations are alleviated, for the most part, and the Super Strength with 4 damage will serve this team well. Still, Hypersonic Speed is uber expensive and it’s not clear whether it is an asset in the close quarters of the dungeon, especially for the anchor of a team. It’s never been tried before (that I can recall) so only time will tell. At this stage, Stargirl is a mop up piece, if anyone can survive Shazam’s! massive assault. The Charge+Low attack value is a little dicey, though. She might be better off staying at range. I’m not sure where this team is going, but it’s a solid start. This season the Legion of Superheroes are hoping to prove that the best defense is a good offense. It is hard to get excited about the Charge + Close Combat Expert on both Karate Kid and Timber Wolf. Since the two powers cannot be used together, the Charge will rarely come into play if this team is smart. Still, high attack values and reliable damage output is usually a good thing. As for defenses, Karate Kid seems pretty well covered with a starting value of 17 with Combat Reflexes giving him a 19 defense in close, where he will be making a living. Timber Wolf has Super Senses, which certainly makes things interesting. For all their strengths, though, those are some short dials for all those points. Oh yeah, and then you have Live Wire. Once again, I’m not sure where this team is going but I expect them to hold their own in the first game. Finally, we have the most controversial team of the new season, the New Mutants. I will not comment on the player, since his reputation speaks for itself, but will focus on the team he put together. No one is denying that on paper this team has potential. The X-Men ability assures this team decent attack values and theoretically Warlock’s defense of 17 with Defend should make up for Karma and Magik’s low defenses. So what is the problem? Well there is the aforementioned reliable damage output, which this team lacks. Sure, Blades/Claws/Fangs can be devastating, but it just as easily can fall flat. Then we have Karma’s Mind Control, which relies on your opponent to provide usable villains to control. If, as is more likely, you place Ghost or even the Penguin in front of this team they could be stuck for two turns trying to clear the path with little to show for it. Which brings us to the other problem for this team: mobility. Keeping this team together to maximize the Defend potential may slow this team down somewhat. As a result, this will cause them to either waste turns maintaining formation or break formation and risk their opponents wrath. For the third time, I’m not sure where this team is going (this team is 29 points away from maxing out these characters), but I’m sure there are more surprises to come. PredictionOut of the first three games, this should be the most friendly since only the JSA could reasonably expect to survive an all out brawl. With the history of the JSA this season, any hostile move at this point would be surprising (although not completely unprecedented, if my memory serves correctly). Still, this should be a quiet game...until the Gem Guardian makes their appearance! At that point, I expect the JSA and Legion to make a play for the gem, with the New Mutants laying low waiting for an opportunity to strike. The Legion will steal the gem from the Guardian and the JSA will attempt to beat them into submission. Meanwhile, the New Mutants will side with the Legion in the hopes the Legion will be too weakened to hold onto the gem once the JSA is dispatched. Some harsh words will be said and some new enemies will be made. ResultsJSA - 28 XP / 120 VP Legion of Superheroes - 30 XP / 250 VP (Mind Gem, but fails to exit with it) New Mutants - 23 XP / 75 VP

I largely agree with everything D said, I think that this is a very nice forecast.
I think the JSA has one of the strongest positions right now for gaining points. If the player can come up to speed on the capabilities of the team then he should move along well. I know I’d be looking to grab Kid Flash really quick before the Teen Titans come to their senses and get him. Heck if they wait much longer >I< might get him… I can buy him on the premise of a villain right My Lord and Master? So he’d be 45XP plus 250VP or something? Hmmmm. I think they’ll point better than D predicts. I’m very curious to see who their next purchase is.
I agree with D on this one and don’t have much to add. This is a close in fighting team, if someone gets them at distance they’re in a bad way. This team needs fire support ASAP. However, for the first couple games they should be fine.
I will watch the New Mutants advances with baited breath (maybe even bad breath). I think we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg for this team. I can think of several ways that Karma can be used to devastate the opposition. Magik will also be very useful as she advances. Then it will be on to bigger things…. I have no clue what those things are though, but with the X teams to chose from there are hundreds of choices to make. The only thing I can see that will prevent this team for pointing high, if not maxing out, will be if they take some kind of hard hit. Right now this team is a china doll more so than any other.
I wish I could make it to this game!

Well, the results are in. You weren't too far off on the JSA, but apparently your crystal ball got the New Mutants and the Legion of Superheroes mixed up.
Great article though - I can't wait to read your Game 1c preview!!!

Some very... interesting things. Hopefully a write-up will be forthcoming, but I'll spoil this (if you call this spoiling) - Carlos definitely brought it more than I've seen him do in a long time and Rick was a Master of his Craft! Jorge was very rusty, but with his team being what it was - he did just fine...

Well it's not an exact science.
I will probably not be providing a preview for the upcoming game, so I will leave that to someone else. My prediction? Pain.

Awww... C'mon! I expect big things from the New Avengers this next game. What happened to the guy who said this; If you do not pick your team for any of the most XP/VP/Gem categories, then the New Avengers will laugh at you and have your team carry their luggage.

You misunderstand my blasphemous friend. I was not predicting pain for the New Avengers...did no one see Rocky III?

You misunderstand my blasphemous friend. I was not predicting pain for the New Avengers...did no one see Rocky III? was that the one where he fights the Russian or the one where he fights a Klingon for Spock's Soul?
